Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward - Heroes **SPOILER WARNING*

Hi there!

Yes, it is another Final Fantasy XIV track. I am in love with this game - the story the music the gameplay.

This track is from one of my favourite trials

Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward - Heroes
a.k.a - Knights of the Round
King Thordan's Theme
Singularity Reactor

This track slightly matches the theme from the Vault -  sight holy feel to it. I mean he is the archbishop so it only seems fitting, it then shifts into a fast paced beat which gives the feeling of urgency.

If you haven't done the fight - the urgency is you have to kill the knights before they get too many attacks in or their limit break does a hell of a lot of damage. It is kind of a DPS check, but its not too aggressive to be a hard one.

I think this trial as a whole is great, you are battiling the Heavensward - the Knights of the Round. Which is probably one of the most favourite summons in the other games - I think it only makes an appearence in FFVII which is very close to peoples hearts. I could be wrong though!

The echoing choir carries on throughout the whole battle, its like a reminder that you are fighting a man of faith.

Which is what it essentially is - a battle of faith. And revenge..you know what I am talking about!

I still need to do this on Extreme mode. That should be fun! I hope the music is the same!

Hope you enjoy this track as much as I do. Go do the trial - it is a lot of fun, so many bright lights!

Apocalyptica - Path

Hi there!

I decided to have a bit of a spam on youtube, listening to tracks I adore and love through my life and I came across this one.

Apocalyptica - Path

I absolutely love this track. I could listen to it over and over. It was in my late teens when I discovered this band, and I am so glad I did. I have yet to see them live, but I will. Its on my list!

I'm not entirely sure why I love this song so much. I am a huge fan of string instruments, so thats a big help. It starts off with a nice chug, and builds up the beat from there. It keeps a strong sound throughout the whole track, keeps me motivated.

The video is really interesting, they are battling against their own shadow. They strengthen the way they play, get better to beat themselves. In the end, they beat the shadows.

You can beat your shadows. Work hard, face them and beat them down!

I find it motivational anywho! ^_^

Honestly, I'm not sure on what I wanted tosay about this track, more just sharing it! Haha!

I do hope you enjoy this track as much as I do, well just this band in general!

Band Shout-out - Pineapple Jam

Hi all!

Its that time again!

I got a lovely message from a band on instagram yesterday after I shamelessly advertised my blog post. They politely asked me to give them a shout-out on my blog.

This is a shout-out to Pineapple Jam!

I have no video for this particular and or anything but here is a link to some songs that are in full. Pineapple Jam Music! Here is their actual website if you want to have a read up on them Pineapple Jam Website

I wanted to write about No Good Woman mostly, I gave all of the tracks a listen and that one stood out to me the most. Its just a good funky tune that gets you moving, whether it be tapping your foot/fingers or full on dancing around the room.

It reminds me a lot of the music I grew up with which was roughly 50s music. Jazzy rock music. My family are big on music and we listened to alsorts of eras! This style always gets me moving! I'm actually dancing to myself whilst writing this! It also feels like something I would hear on Fallout! Haha!

The vocals are powerful, but not overwhelming. You can clearly understand the lyrics, which is always nice! The band itself is very energetic, I can imagine them dancing around on stage or the studio when recording. They seem passionate about their music, you can tell just by hearing a few songs.

The music overall seems fun, light and energetic. The other songs are a very similar feel. Which is great, consistency.

Give this band a listen. I wasn't sure what to expect when I got the message, but I am glad I gave them a chance and listened! I would definitely put these tracks on at a family party or BBQ!

Until next time!

Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward - Locus

Greetings!

It has been a very long time, my apologies. I have been so caught up in playing Final Fantasy XIV and studying - then you add on actual adult life stuff. Writing blogs on music has not been on my mind.

However.

I will be writing about a lot of different tracks from the Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward OST.

There are a number of reasons. The most important reason is - I LOVE IT.

Lets start off with this one.

Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward OST - Locus (Alexander Boss Theme)

There is a reason I am starting with this one. A lot of blogs start with the Heavensward track, which I will write about another time. This one is a very good one to start with. It is at the end of the album, its very end-game: yet I feel it is an amazing track that not many people seem to talk about.

This song is played through the boss fights for Alexander, The Fist, the Cuff and so on. You fight your way through the corridors to the boss room. I always feel pumped up, ready to take on the boss. It keeps momentum throughout the battle, regardless of how many times you need to wipe. I always feel enthusiastic and ready to kick some gobbie butt!

It starts off slow, the voice is nicely distorted to give it a mechanical feel, then the drums and bass start and it gets you prepared for what is to come. The rhythm stays throughout the track. It is a very good boss track. I don't find it grating or irritating. The vocals break up the beat of the music which makes it a lot more bearable. I always find myself bopping away to the music while killing the boss.

Summarise: The music makes me feel happy, enthusiastic and ready to kick butt, and want to dance while doing so. Important points!

I really do hope they carry this style of music on for the raids. It makes them more enjoyable, havinga good backing track to a long dungeon / battle is important. People end up losing pace and end up getting bored.

Good work.

I absolutely love this OST, I am so glad I bought it. Again, Square Enix haven't disappointed me.

I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do. Until next time!

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas - Let Me Hear

It is that time again!

I thought it would be a good idea to write about this particular track.

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas - Let Me Hear

This song I heard originally on an anime opening. Parasyte -the maxim-. Which is absolutely amazing by the way.

I had heard of the band before, I remember having a bit of their music on my harddrive that a friend gave me.

The song starts off with small beat and just vocals - synth vocals. I personall am not a fan of synth, however I find it works perfectly in this song. I'm not entirely sure why, but I think it fits. I think it would sound rather strange if it wasn't. It is a nice contrast to the growling/screaming. Adds energy to the tune as a whole.

The song breaks up, which is nice. It stops the synth vocals from being too much. It is interesting that three of the band members are doing the vocals. I find nothing wrong with this at all. There is no point in a vocalist straining their voices to sound a certain way. Stick to what you are good at and are comfortable with.

I love the breakdown. When it just turns into heavy guitar chugging and drums.

The whole song just keeps you moving. For example, if this was played at a concert or something - people would dance through the whole thing. Dancedancedance. The energy continues through the whole song, the tempo changes and the style changes., but the energy is constant.

I don't remember why I stopped listening to this band. I really should get back to it. Haha!

I hope you enjoy this as much as I have! Try the anime - it is amazing!

Disturbed - Sound of Silence

Hello there!

I decided to write about this on the spur of the moment.

I was on facebook and the Disturbed page posted this video and I just had to write about it!

Disturbed - The Sound of Silence

This happens to be one of my favourite songs of Simon and Garfunkel and I am overjoyed that one of my favourite bands has done a cover.

David Draiman has such a soothing voice, even with so much power behind it, he still carries this song well. The emotion portrayed comes through. You could say I am biased due to loving this song since I was a child.

I feel that Disturbed kept the slight haunting feeling in the vocals and the melody itself. Disturbed have a piano playing the acoustic at the start of the song. Which I feel was a perfect touch. David projecting his voice closer to the end of the song is beautiful, shows his true talent as a vocalist and that he isnt all about growling and shouting. Sends a chill down my spine.

What makes this song even more special for me is the fact it is a video made by them. It has the band members in it, not their mascot. Its not political. Its a song sung and played with passion.

I haven't listened to the original in so long, but as soon as I played this, I felt emotion grow inside me, remembering how much I loved the original.

I will add the original

Simon & Garfunkel - The Sound of Silence (1964)

This way, you can listen to both and see just how amazing both of them are. Disturbed really did the song justice. In my opinion.

I hope yoou have enjoyed this song as much as I have, since I was a little girl.

Granrodeo - Can Do

We are back!

I now have more time on my hands to post more! I will do my best to update frequently.

This one will get you up and dancing. I hope!

GRANRODEO - Can Do

I heard this song back last year when I was in Tokyo. I was watching latenight TV, and an anime came on. Kuroko no Basuke. Now, it was all in raw Japanese and I had NO clue what was going on. I decided to watch and it amazing. This is the opening theme for season 1.

No matter how many times I listen to it, I want to get up and dance. I even do a jig in my seat if I am sat down! It is so upbeat and lively, makes you ready for anything, You can do anything.

The video for this track is as I expected it would have been, basketball being played in the background. The musicians bouncing around as if they are going to explode with energy. The vocals are so powerful, the whole band are feeding the energy through the music and making us want to throw our arms up and dance around.

I get so much of it from this song, I just want to dance. Jump around and go crazy - and not care who is looking.

I love songs like this, pumps me up, ready for the day, gives me the feeling I can do it! We can do it!

I absolutely love this band now after hearing a few of their tracks. I hope you give them a listen, I will be posting more of their songs up soon!

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I have! And get dancing. You can do it!
