Beast - Fiction

Good morning!

Starting the day off with another recommendation.

I am loving the recommendations from people. Some are very very good, others are making me sit here thinking "well...this should be interesting!"

So off we go.

Beast - Fiction

This has to be the most beautiful Kpop song I have ever heard. Please prove me wrong my sending me more haha!

Seriously though, the emotion that is in the melody at the start gives it a sad, melancholic feel. It sets you up for the vocals which all show the emotion quite well.

From reading the lyrics, its a sad love song. About someone who can't...doesn't want to let go. They want to start fresh, as if nothing happened. Writing a story in their heart where they are always happy - but its all a work of Fiction.

It is a very sad song if you have ever been in that position. Needing to let go of someone because neither of you are happy, but you still love them beyond anything else. And I feel they portray that feeling very well both in lyric and in melody.

I'd like to mention that the rap they throw in, it breaks up the song nicely. I find this with a lot of KPop songs. Also the choreography in the video is pretty sweet too, as always from a Kpop band.

I am so glad I got this recommendation. It is such a beautiful song, it even made me tear up a little.

I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did, and the recommender.

Koda Kumi - Real Emotion

What can I do for you?

Well hello there!

Time for another recommendation!

My friend added this to his huge list that I need to work my way through, when he linked I was very happy that it came up.

Koda Kumi - Real Emotion
Final Fantasy X-2

This song brings back so many good memories. I wasn't a huge fan of the game, but I am a fan of the Final Fantasy Series and Koda Kumi - fantastic they asked her for a song. I do love Final Fantasy X so I gave the next one a try and I wasn't overly keen, its fun don't get me wrong, there are just some aspects of the game I didn't enjoy.

The scene this song is played is actually pretty amazing. Watching this video it does show clips of it, which is also pretty cool.

You can also get this song in English.

Koda Kumi is a very good vocalist and dancer. I have a lot of respect for her. Such a diva. haha! This is one of her best tracks in my opinion. Always makes me want to dance, hell I was sat here dancing to it whilst typing this. It is just nice to get a song that is not sexualised and more a song of gratitude.

Reading the lyrics in English, to me it gives the feel that someone made her strong enough to move forward - on her own. The What can I do for you  is a very "what can I do to pay you back" as a thank you for giving that strength.

I could be wrong, this is just my interpretation of it.

This is definitely a track I recommend to people when they ask for J-Pop music. Haha! It is great to be creative to too. I like doing things like drawing when listening to this. It puts me in a good mood.

I am happy I got this recommendation! I might go on a Koda Kumi spam on Youtube now!

Hope you enjoyed this song as much as I do.

Final Fantasy Type-0 OST - Servant of the Crystal

Good Evening!

I haven't posted in a while because I have had my new obsession holiday that I booked to play my new game. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD!

I have managed to get myself to level 33 and to Chapter 7 over the course of the weekend, and still have time off to go out and do things! I am in love with this game so far, please no spoilers for me. Thank you, much appreciated.

One of the things I fell in love with the soundtrack. I have always been a fan of the Final Fantasy composers, but this is astounding. Truly.

I will be posting more music from this game.

Let us get on with it, yes? You all came here for the music! I will try my best to not post spoilers!

Servant of the Crystal

This is track 5 on the 15 song CD in the Collectors edition of the new HD PS4 game.

I first encountered this track when I was fighting something huge, and this is the music to fight in the battle. It is a very fitting track. The melody is beautiful and works well with the situation. This track is something I can sit and listen to on repeat for hours and never get bored or tired of it. It fills me with hope I CAN BEAT THE BOSS! in that I can do anything.

I have noticed a pattern in my music choices. Haha!

The melody starts off quiet and melancholic, but then gains a beat that makes you feel that there is hope, you can do it, it is amazing how a small change can make a difference on the feel of the tune. Together the combination with the original soft melody and the guitar playing, it creates a feel of fighting through the bad things, leading you through it. Fight music, as I call it.

Not only that you get to hear this with Bahamut Zero on the screen. Which is epic.

Try listening to this with your earphones/headphones on and close your eyes, you will feel epic in a matter of seconds. I know I did. I have yet to hear the bass with headphones, the normal speakers is enough. I am a sucker for bass.

I wish I could express how amazing I feel when I hear this, I feel many different emotions, very difficult to put into words to explain. My thoughts seem to rearrange themselves and the ones I need to focus on become clearer. Also my creativity side comes to life when I hear music like this.

I probably sound lame when I say things like that, but please listen, and hopefully, you will know what I mean.

I may seem biased, because I am a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Composers, I get enthusiastic and excited. But I genuinely feel this is a track that will make people feel awesome.

Tell me what you think!

Hashimoto Jin - Stand Proud

Good Evening!

We have another OST recommendation!

I am sure we are starting to see a pattern here haha!

Hashimoto Jin - Stand Proud
Jojo's Bizarre Adventures: Stardust Crusaders Opening

This particular track is a bit of fresh air for me right now. Due to my upbringing I have come to love hair metal classic rock. This song just brings back memories from the past just from the sound more than anything. I have many fond memories of listening to this style of music. Me and my friends being overly dramatic whilst imitating singing the songs.

Starting the song off with a guitar is an amazing move, for any band. Having learnt guitar a little, I can appreciate guitar talent when I hear it.

The vocals were quite powerful. The point of the title of the song was clearly made by the voice. Very nice indeed.

The song as a whole is definitely spirit lifting. You can do anything!! Which is what we all love. ^__^ It also sounds like it belongs in the game Dynasty Warriors. Motivational. Makes one feel you can achieve anything. You are a warrior!

If I was to have a battle theme tune, it would be something like this.

I am really happy I got this recommendation, it brings back good memories and uplifts spirits. Amazing style of music.

Clean Bandit - Mozart's House ft. Love Ssega

Good Evening!

It is time for another recommendation post!

I do love my friends for giving me their music. Hehe~

Here we go!

Clean Bandit - Mozart's House ft. Love Ssega
Where do I start?

I put this on and I didn't know what to think. My first thought was "Oh god.." then it started with the electronic sound and interesting tempo. I am not entirely sure what genre this fits under. Electro? Dance? I think I would prefer it to go under Electro.

The vocals were a nice surprise. The classical music was an even better surprise. As a lover of classical, especially string, I can completely appreciate the usage. The usage of the two genres is very intriguing.

Lyrics:
The song starts off with
"So you think electronic music is boring?
You think it's stupid?
You think it's repetitive?
Well, it is repetitive!"

I like how it admits that electronic music is repetitive, but isn't that the point? I know a lot of artists would deny that their music is repetitive. There isn't anything wrong with that. It makes it easier to dance to. I find this whole track is something I would find in a club and just dance to it. Because it is designed to make you do so.

I find the lyrics go on to be a bit of a "I don't like doing something, but I have to" feel in the verse; more of a "get on with it", then moves onto dancing? I am not entirely sure where they tried t go with the lyrics but that is purely my interpretation.

Overall:
What made me smile is the fact it is a band from Cambridge, somewhere not far from where I live currently. Such talent from places we least expect. This is definitely something I could listen to more. Mostly if I was in a gym/workout or a club/party, it is not something I personally listen to while doing work or reading. I really enjoyed this, more than I thought I would. Pleasantly surprised.

I hope you enjoyed this track. If you have anything you would like me to listen to, give me shout. ;)

M.O.V.E - Outsoar the Rainbow

Greetings!

It is that time again. I have another recommendation from a friend. I do enjoy listening to other peoples music. It helps me get to know the person a bit better, in a way.

I don't really have a single taste in music. I listen and enjoy so many different genres.

So onward with music!

M.O.V.E - Outsoar the Rainbow
- Initial D -

This song is difficult to pinpoint on genre, I want to say trance? I cannot say for sure.

The beat and the tempo is quite likable. I find if I could drive, this would be very good driving music. Maybe that is the point as it is made for a manga/anime/TV series/film about illegal Japanese Street Racing. I get that just from listening to it. It would also be good as gym music. Get all pumped up!

When I was younger, I went through a trance phase, so I can fully appreciate this track. I find a lot of trance can be done badly and sound terrible, vocals don't work with the backing track; and so on. Whereas this uses the female and male singing voices quite harmoniously and added a bit of rap. I think I just heard a bit of dubstep? Haha! Which changes the energy of the whole song.

I get the feel that this track is a very "Let's go!" or "let's do this!" fight style song. Maybe it was played during a street race scene? I think I may have heard it on an arcade machine in a bowling alley. I think it is one of the Arcade Stage tracks.

It definitely puts me into an upbeat, "I can do this" mood which is what I think the track is aiming for.

All in all, a very good track. I may even listen to more of M.O.V.E, see what else they have!

Hope you enjoyed the track as much as I did.

If you have anything you would like me to listen to, let me know!

Buck Tick - Miss Take

Good Evening!

I thought I would take you on a tiny journey into the world of Visual Kei.

This is pretty much what I listen to most of the time. I love Japanese Rock. I have for many years, I actually prefer it to "western music". It brings out the emotions and makes me feel more than other music does. It has also given me many good memories, ones that I will never trade for anything. I met my other-half at a Jrock concert so it means a lot to me. So I will be posting quite a bit about this particular genre. Unless someone recommends a song to me.

I have decided to share a band that I have liked for a while but never really gone out of my way to talk about or follow. I am not sure why, I like the music and the feeling but I'm just not a "oh my god!" person with them. Maybe that will change when if I see them live?

Buck Tick - Miss Take

I really like this song, it is one of their newer ones. I think it came out last year sometime? I am not entirely sure.

The reason I want to share this with you is because I love listening to this particular style while reading or being creative in general. Its not too "hard rock" or something that makes you dance. I feel it is more easy listening, good background music while you get on doing other things.

Throughout the years their music has changed; like any band does change their style. Experimentation and so on. However they have always used simple melodies. Which makes them very likable and easy to relax to.

Atsushi Sakurai has an amazing voice, I find it to be quite haunting sometimes. Which is interesting considering how their music has change from 1983, his vocals never really changed. Always had that haunting, seductive feel.

This song seems to be a love song. I don't know the lyrics as I cannot understand Japanese all that much yet.

I don't mean to ramble on about the band.

The song itself is a simple melody that I find very nice to listen to while relaxing. I often find myself humming along with my eyes closed. Sometimes doing the hand movements that Sakurai seems to do in the videos! Haha!

Hope you enjoy this song as much as I do. It doesn't need to be loud or anything, a nice volume and just feel yourself relax.

GD x Taeyang - Good Boy

Good Evening all!

Hope you are well.

This is another recommendation from a friend - a different friend. I like taking recommendations! ^_^

GD x Taeyang - Good Boy
K-pop

My first impression? "What the hell?" I wasn't sure what to make of this. However, I know GD's music and I thought I would keep an open mind and carry on. As I am not a huge fan of K-Pop or anything like that I wasn't sure how I would react.

I was pleasantly surprised.

This is definitely a song that would fill a dancefloor. Here in the UK I know that if they played this in the clubs- the floor would fill. The rhythm is very hip-tastic. I was sat here moving my hips to the music. I  also uttered the words

"I feel I need my shades and just nod my head."

I felt very gangsta! This is not a bad thing.

I find this music is quite close to Hiphop which is an acquired taste in my opinion - which I am also not a huge fan of. However, this I did like, once it got into it a little. It is a very catchy little tune!

Video:
Ok the video is very strange. I just know it has a very club feel to it which helps with the idea of it being a club song. The choreography is very well done. As I would expect, GD seems to have a very good choreographer. The moves flowed smoothly. It all worked together and achieved what it was meant to - make people dance.

Lyrics/Vocals:
I have no idea what this song is about, what they are saying or anything. In complete honesty! That said- with this kind of song, I don't think it really matters. I know both of these gentlemen can sing very well. Interesting how a lot of Kpop musicians can both rap and sing. Hmm.

All in all final impression:

Another friend of mine stated "Best song of 2014, hands down. Even though it only came out towards the end." - I cannot agree with this unfortunately. True it is a very good song, it is good for being loud and danced to. I don't think I could sit in a room and listen to it.

I will mark it with a 7/10. Mostly because I like sitting and listening, not just dancing. xD

Hope you all enjoyed this song! I find it very catchy! I will probably end up dancing to this in my sleep. haha!

Music Blog Introduction - Amazarashi - Seasons Die one after another

Hello there!

This is the first post for the music blog. Here I will be posting music, if I can vids too, and tell you my opinion of them. You are welcome to share your opinions too in the comments!

I like doing things this simply because I love music and I like trying different music. It can be anything from anywhere in the world, I will be more than happy to give it a try!

I feel that every song, every genre has a meaning to each and every single person. We might not like a particular genre, but it still brings out an emotion or a feeling. That is what I think anyway.

Music helps people concentrate, it helps people relax, others to let themselves go like dancing. Some use it as an outlet, maybe they feel down and need that comforting sound of their favourite track and just cry.

I personally have a juke box in my head. There is never a day where I don't have music, or I am not humming to myself.

I thought I would start with a friend recommendation.

Amazarashi - Seasons Die One After Another
AKA - Tokyo Ghoul Root A Ending

Not the greatest thumbnail for a vid, I do admit!

I really like this song. When you watch the vid it can be a bit....eh... some feel ill from watching it. A good depiction of what would happen if you ate human flesh. When I listened to this without watching the vid, I felt a sense of calming. It has a sadness tone to it, but has a rise of hope in certain parts in the song.

The title interests me, Seasons Die One After Another. Which could mean negativity, sadness, no future. But there is also the fact that when one season dies, another is born, which is where I feel that this song is reassuring in some respect. A bit more on this below

When reading the lyrics, I interpret them as very... uplifting if you was in a bad place. "You can do this" "whatever troubles you face, you can get through it"

This is purely my interpretation of it, if I am wrong, please notify me. I will gladly try and look at it from your point of view!

I have yet to try the anime, I just have so many others to watch first!

Well, that concludes the first post!

That was fun. I listened to the song roughly 3 times whilst writing this. ^_^

Thank you to my friend for recommending this!
