Bump of Chicken - Zero (ゼロ) & Acoustic ver.

Greetings!

I am back. I keep meaning to pos up but I get side-tracked with other things. Sometimes I find it very difficult to put things into words. I have a few posts lined up which I hope you will enjoy!

We are back with this tremendous song.

Bump of Chicken - Zero ゼロ

I absolutely adore this song. There is another version of this track which I will include in a while.

I only found out about this band when I started playing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD Remaster. I wish I had heard of them sooner! I love the vocals, he has a unique sound. The rest of the band work so well together to create a harmonious melody.

Bump of Chicken - Zero ゼロ (acoustic)

This is the version that is played on the video game. It brought me to tears, the melancholy feel to it, the story that was being shown during this track was heartbreaking. It is mentioned quite a lot in the game, I think it was mentioned as a lullaby - I will have to brush up on that.

In both versions on the song, the vocals are quite poweful, filled with emotion and passion, as though the words have a great meaning. Throughout the original, the melody gets a little more powerful as the vocalist does, becomes a bit more upbeat. In the acoustic version, the melody is more solemn and emotional.

These two songs I love relaxing to. I close my eyes and feel myself smile at the subtle sounds in the song, the vocals aren't too powerful that you can't relax but they push the emotion through. I have, at times, felt emotional. I do that when I love a song. Haha!

I just read the lyrics on the Final Fantasy Wikia and I have to say...that is quite depressing if the translation is correct. The lyrics are sad, but they have a tinge of hope. They are realy sweet. However, I will not post unless I know the lyrics are legit.

I do urge you to listen to both of these versions and form your own opinion on them. I love both - I think they are both as amazing as each other.

I hope to post more about this band as they are very talented.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

Final Fantasy Type-0 - War: Howl of the Dreadnought

Good evening!

It is that time again.
The time where I flail, get passionate and give my opinion and thoughts on music.

This time it is not a recommendation. This happens to be my MP3 players favourite track, it plays it all the time. I think Sony are conspiring against me! Haha! Either that or my MP3 player has amazing taste. I think we shall go with the latter.

Onwards- to the music!

Final Fantasy Type-0 - War: Howl of the Dreadnought
Composer - Takeharu Ishimoto

Well, how do I put this.. "DAMN BRIONAC" comes to mind. If you have played the game, you will know what I mean.

The bass riff at the start of this track makes me smile every time I hear it. I love bass. Hearing this with headphones is a treat too. I tend to close my eyes when listening, it helps clear my mind and focus. Again, it gives me the feeling of being epic. Ha! The feeling that I can achieve anything if I work towards it.

The situation in which this track is played, it is meant to be an "impossible battle", it is 4x your size, still powerful regardless of what you did. Yet you do it. This track gives you the fighting power whilst playing and it really does make you feel "I can do this." Even though...its just a game and you know you can.

This is what I really enjoy about Final Fantasy music, it makes you feel the emotion behind the scene it is played in - even though its just a game.

The melody stays pretty much the same throughout the track but it has layers built up on top which creates a distortion, and it also gives it a mechanical feel. Which is the whole point of the chapter. The change in tone is a very nice touch, breaks up the track a little to make it nicer to listen to.

Again, it is one of the tracks that motivates me, makes me focus. I like listening to this just before work. Haha!

I hope you enjoy this track as much as I do - I know I say that on every post, but it is genuine. I love listening to music and sharing it. I really hope you do enjoy this.

Final Fantasy Type-0 OST - Servant of the Crystal

Good Evening!

I haven't posted in a while because I have had my new obsession holiday that I booked to play my new game. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD!

I have managed to get myself to level 33 and to Chapter 7 over the course of the weekend, and still have time off to go out and do things! I am in love with this game so far, please no spoilers for me. Thank you, much appreciated.

One of the things I fell in love with the soundtrack. I have always been a fan of the Final Fantasy composers, but this is astounding. Truly.

I will be posting more music from this game.

Let us get on with it, yes? You all came here for the music! I will try my best to not post spoilers!

Servant of the Crystal

This is track 5 on the 15 song CD in the Collectors edition of the new HD PS4 game.

I first encountered this track when I was fighting something huge, and this is the music to fight in the battle. It is a very fitting track. The melody is beautiful and works well with the situation. This track is something I can sit and listen to on repeat for hours and never get bored or tired of it. It fills me with hope I CAN BEAT THE BOSS! in that I can do anything.

I have noticed a pattern in my music choices. Haha!

The melody starts off quiet and melancholic, but then gains a beat that makes you feel that there is hope, you can do it, it is amazing how a small change can make a difference on the feel of the tune. Together the combination with the original soft melody and the guitar playing, it creates a feel of fighting through the bad things, leading you through it. Fight music, as I call it.

Not only that you get to hear this with Bahamut Zero on the screen. Which is epic.

Try listening to this with your earphones/headphones on and close your eyes, you will feel epic in a matter of seconds. I know I did. I have yet to hear the bass with headphones, the normal speakers is enough. I am a sucker for bass.

I wish I could express how amazing I feel when I hear this, I feel many different emotions, very difficult to put into words to explain. My thoughts seem to rearrange themselves and the ones I need to focus on become clearer. Also my creativity side comes to life when I hear music like this.

I probably sound lame when I say things like that, but please listen, and hopefully, you will know what I mean.

I may seem biased, because I am a huge fan of the Final Fantasy Composers, I get enthusiastic and excited. But I genuinely feel this is a track that will make people feel awesome.

Tell me what you think!
